SVRT Alum Rock Station

The Silicon Valley Rapid Transit Authority is undertaking a 16-mile six-station BART extension from Fremont to San Jose and Santa Clara. FMG is the architect for the Alum Rock underground station and campus above. In The Strong Neighborhood Initiative, approved by the City of San Jose, this area is specifically described to be the location of a new "town square" providing cultural events, outdoor theater and concerts, public art, and a sense of community for this part of the city. The station is projected to enter revenue service in 2016. |

Transbay Terminal Bus Facility

As a prelude to the development of the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco, FMG Architects is designing the architectural elements of the temporary terminal to allow uninterrupted bus service when the current terminal is demolished. Work includes close coordination with AC Transit, MUNI, Westcat, Golden Gate Transit and Greyhound. |

FMG has developed concepts for a new bus facility located in downtown Oakland. Located immediately adjacent to original art deco buildings, the proposed solution acknowledges the historic nature of the neighborhood. It is currently under construction. |
